Superbowl Day!

We awoke to temperatures at -20! We have a wind chill advisory/warning for the remainder of the weekend into Monday. Talk about cold! Here are some extreme cold temperatures statistics for you to mull over as you go throughout the day...

*The coldest temperature ever recorded in the US was, of course, in Alaska. The record low of -79.8 degrees was recorded on January 23, 1971, at Prospect Creek Camp, along the Alaskan pipeline, about 20 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Wow!

*The coldest temperature recorded in Wisconsin was -55 degrees on February 6, 1996 in the town of Couderay! It is the coldest temperature recorded east of the Mississippi. Not as cold as Alaska, but it is still down there!

*Hawaii is the only state in the US never to record a below-zero temperature, setting it's lowest temperature at 12 degrees above zero.

Make some hot cocoa and enjoy Superbowl XLI!
