Greetings from Northern Wisconsin! The weather is warming up a bit, and it reached over 40 degrees today! However, grooming continues on the snowmobile trails, and the trails are in good to fair condition. This warmer weather may mean some trail deterioration this weekend.
Cross country skiing trails are in good condition. Spring skiing is always better, and the best conditions are found in the morning while the snow is still stable. Skiing is fast in the morning, and a bit slower in the afternoon. This is the best time of year to get out and ski!
Be careful out on the lakes, and stay where it is marked.
Although this is bad for winter recreation trails, it was good to feel the sun and the warmer temperatures! Driving conditions have become a bit slushy and a little slick here and there. Get outside!
