Snow Is Coming!

Greetings!

More snow is making it's way into the Northwoods! This last week has had a few off and on snow showers. Tomorrow St. Germain will be under a Winter Storm Warning from about 12pm until about 9am Sunday morning. They are predicting a snowfall of around five to eight inches!

I have been reading the local trail reports lately, and with hunting season coming to an end, they are preparing to open the trails soon! Volunteers have been working hard to get them in perfect shape for riding, and all they are lacking is a great snow storm. With one on it's way, I think it looks as if they may get to open on their scheduled date of December 10th. Visit the winter recreation page on our web site for direct links to the Snowmobile Club web sites for a full update on trail conditions.

The dropping temperatures in the area have led to frozen water on most of the area's lakes. I do not believe that they are quite frozen enough for ice fishing just yet, but the temperature keeps getting lower, so you might just be out there before you know it!

The results of our 2007 Photo Contest have been posted, so take a look at the great photos we received. And again, thank you to everyone that participated in our contest this year!
