The Vilas County Snowmobile Club Alliance has just announced that our snowmobile trails can and will open on December 10, 2010, weather permitting. We have had several snow squalls move through within the last 10 days with below freezing temperatures making for great trail preparation. The lakes are mostly iced over but not yet safe to ride on; cold weather is thickening the ice daily.
