Here in St. Germain...

We are now close to the end of March, and still we have snow. Yes, we had a bit of snow fall in the last couple of weeks. Snowmobiling enthusiasts are still out getting every last bit of riding done that they can. Trails however are not looking so great. With the sun staying out longer, and temps being above freezing, most of the trails are all ice or no longer snow covered. In the woods is where you will find the lasting snow. The trails will remain open until midnight on March 31st.

Still looking for those major signs of spring? Although a lot of the snow on the ground has melted away, there is still a fair amount left. With the snowmobile season coming to an end, we can only hope for a few good rain storms to give the Northwoods a kick into spring gear. Soon the ice on the lakes will begin to melt as well. And April is a perfect month to start tuning your boats and pulling your life vests out of storage, preparing for the boating season ahead!

The best part of this time of year is the chance to cure that lasting winter cabin fever, and Black Bear Lodge is here for you! So when you are ready to plan that first family getaway of spring, give us a call and ask us about our great specials we have to help plan your perfect vacation or long weekend! Hope to see you soon!
